Kumkang Bio, Successful Completion of PoC and Purchase Agreement in Brooklyn, New York, USA
Kumkang Bio Co., Ltd. has successfully tested its eco-friendly technology at Union Square Events in Brooklyn, New York, USA, achieving outstanding results in the Proof of Concept (PoC) project that began on October 18, 2023. This project was conducted as part of the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute’s overseas local demonstration support project for green technology.
Through this PoC, Geumgang Bio installed one ZZAMBIO 60kg food waste reduction device and one ZZAMBI resource circulation device at Union Square Events and collected food waste processing data. Through this, Kumkang Bio demonstrated how its innovative technology can be applied in the field.
During the PoC period, Kumkang Bio achieved results and successfully signed a purchase contract for ZZAMBIO 60kg and the ZZAMBI resource recovery device from Union Square Events. In addition, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce expressed its active support by inviting Geumgang Bio to the International Consumer Electronics Show (January 7-10, 2025) held in Las Vegas, USA and providing a booth.
Ham Chan-hyuck, CEO of Kumkang Bio, visited Union Square Events in Brooklyn, New York, USA from November 20 to 25, 2024 to inspect the company’s products and hear opinions from the field. Through this visit, Kumkang Bio plans to further specify its product improvement and market expansion strategies based on a deep understanding of the local situation.
Kumkang Bio is currently in the process of obtaining MET certification as an important step toward entering the North American market, and plans to obtain MET certification by February 2025. Through this, Kumkang Bio plans to further strengthen its position in the North American market and pursue sustainable development based on eco-friendly technology.
